Scientists and researchers have been investigating how to block the adsorption of fat in the intestines. They have come out with a few products that are typically not recommended – Orlistat. Orlistat, commonly know as Xenical, is a drug that partially inhibits the effect of lipase and thereby is considered a fat blocker. However, it has two known side effects – intestinal gas and poor bowel movement control. Your body needs a certain amount of fat, good fat, to keep it healthy, so complete blocking of lipase would be detrimental to your health.

Another fat blocking drug is Meridia. It too has side effects - high blood pressure - and is not recommended. To read more about this article go here:
