Resort And Spa Getaways

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

Las year was the first time I went to a resort and spa, and I was a little bit overwhelmed. You see, I had never done anything like that before. I have taken some extravagant vacations, but it is a different type of extravagance. For me, the ultimate thrill is getting away from it all. I am not accustomed to being waited on hand and foot, or to having luxury and comfort at my door. The only hot springs I have been to before were wild hot springs, several days hike from civilization. Going to a hotel spa resort was all new, and it made me nervous.

Nonetheless, when I got involved with my girlfriend, we agreed to make certain compromises. You see, although somehow we work out perfectly together, we are very different people. In most of our tastes, we are like night and day. I am the rugged outdoors type, and she is the cultured, urban cosmopolitan. My idea of a night out is playing music around a campfire, hers is going to an opera. Since I chose last vacation, it was her turn now. A resort and spa was, she said, just what she needed to unwind. Who was I to disagree?

Why you will be pleasantly surprise about health spa breaks

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

We live in a fast paced world and for a lady who works full time and has to take care of a family she often needs a few hours just for herself. Health spa breaks are ideal for this as they allow
a woman a chance to just let go and fully relax. If you’ve never been to a spa before you might not know what to expect but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what awaits you there.

Most of us go visit a hair salon every few weeks to have our hair cut and colored. If this is an experience you enjoy you’ll relish the attention you receive when you take one of the many health
spa breaks that are available. Not only can you have your hair taken care of but you’ll also be treated to a manicure and pedicure. Many health spa breaks also include a luxurious facial and massage.

Healthy Skin Care

Spending a lot of time at the health spa is one of the best ways to keep yourself looking young. It is not so much the state of your skin that makes you look old, but the state of your internal health. If you are stressed out, not eating right, and not learning to relax, your organic skin care products will do nothing for you. You can rub any lotions on your skin, but it will not look younger and healthier. It will continue to age. If, however, you learn to relax, skincare will be an easy task. You will see wrinkles literally disappear once you stop carrying chronic stress in your body.
